Y es que la mujer de Thierry Ardisson, Béatrice Ardisson, tuvo la genial idea en el 2000 de poner en la BSO del programa canciones famosas versionadas por grupos no tan famosos (en la mayoría de los casos). Así, surgió el primer volumen de La Musique de Paris Dernière, con canciones como Drive my car versionadas por Diego Pelaez, o Can't take my eyes off of you por Zard. La idea, como es natural, gustó y a este primer experimento le siguieron otros seis, formando la colección de siete volúmenes "La Musique de Paris Dernière". Podemos encontrar desde Highway to hell hasta Creep, pasando por Light my fire, Hotel California, Hey ya, Happy together, I was made for loving you, y Anarchy in the UK, entre otros muchos. Y si rebuscamos un poco, podemos ver de artistas invitados nada más y nada menos que Sid Vicious, Muse, o Stevie Wonder.
